OUR SUSTAINABLE APPROACH

Strengthened by this conviction, we have embraced the most modern principles of the circular economy: recycling and reuse are taken into account at all stages of production and guide our every decision.

GREEN MATERIALS

Our commitment to researching materials with a low environmental impact for the production of sustainable packaging has led to the increasing use of recycled and bio-based polymers for the production of food and cosmetic containers.

 

All packaging made from recycled materials and bioplastics retains the performance and properties of virgin polymer and are, in turn, 100% recyclable.

R-PE

Recycled PE is certified for food and cosmetic use.
It can be used for packaging production 100% recycled.

R-PETG

Recycled PETG -for cosmetic and food use -can be used for packaging production in a maximum percentage of 50%.

R-PET

Recycled PET is obtained from the recovery and regeneration of PET containers. It consists of a purification process that makes the material completely similar to virgin PET in terms of characteristics and transparency, and is certified for food and cosmetic use.
Packaging is produced using R-PET and virgin PET in equal quantities.

GREEN PE

Unlike conventional PE, the ethanol used to produce Green PE is derived from sugar cane, not petroleum.
The mechanical and physical properties of the material are identical, but the big advantage of Green PE lies in the amount of carbon dioxide absorbed during the sugarcane production process: up to 2.5 tonnes of CO2 absorbed per every
tonne of Green PE produced.
It is certified for food and cosmetic use.

PREVENTED OCEAN PLASTIC

It consists of an R-PET recovered from coastal areas of countries characterized by poor waste management infrastructure, and therefore at a high risk of pollution.

Prevented Ocean Plastic is certified for cosmetic and food use and is fully traceable to its source; it is indicated on the packaging by its characteristic triangular logo.

RENEWABLE ENERGY AND ENERGY SAVING

Our plant is optimized to combine high productivity and environmental sustainability, with a focus on the proper management of waste, wastewater and water supply. Since 2015, we have only used energy produced from renewable sources.

 

1200 kW TRIGENERATION PLANT produces hot water, cold water and electricity, covering 50% of the company’s energy needs.

 

PHOTOVOLTAIC PLANT of 5,400 m2 provides 250,000 kWh of solar energy per year. Energy savings are also achieved by our fully-LED lighting system and by our energy-efficient electrical blowing equipment.

WE MEASURE OUR PRODUCTS CARBON FOOTPRINT

As a leading plastics company in Italy, we have been committed for years to introducing sustainability issues in all our services and production processes.

With this in mind, we have equipped ourselves with a model that calculates and quantifies the Carbon Footprintof our products.. This approach, based onISO 14067:2018, measures the amount of CO2 emissions released into the environment by a product, service or organization during its life cycle.

The data collected provides our customers with a convenient tool to make informed choices that can lead to a reduction in environmental impact.

The result generates not only economic benefits (in terms of efficiency and resource savings), but also sustainability benefits, thus helping to build a greener future for all.

Renewable energy, state-of-the-art production technologies and recycled materials are just some of the initiatives undertaken to help reduce the environmental impact of our production activities.

Creating sustainable packaging also involves product design and reducing the amount of plastic used to produce bottles, jars and canisters.
Our process also includes the reuse of 100% of production waste in a zero-waste perspective.

Each of our containers is recyclable through traditional waste sorting.
